Welcome to Bravery Project
Our mission is to change public perception of domestic abuse and inspire a call to action by connecting the public with survivors of abuse through the art and narrative. Created with the survivor, the original artwork captures the beauty, strength, and wisdom of overcoming hardship, embodying our belief that with community awareness and support, every individual CAN live a life of freedom, security, and love. » Learn More

Through our unique portrait process, aka "DaVinci Experience," survivors have the opportunity to become teachers to the community. Each story is different and brings a message that helps people understand common burning questions like, Why does she stay in that abuse relationship and what am I supposed to do about it?"

A New Perspective
I was born and reared in Mississippi. The first 13 years of my life was a horror story. Here is how my life went: My alcoholic father would beat my mother almost weekly and he would put us outside, so we slept under the porch in the winter. When he died in 1968 I had no feelings for him at all.
