We are the cure

Welcome to your preview of the Community Connection Newsletter.  This quarterly newsletter publication will begin on January 1, 2010 with the first three editions FREE.

The purpose of this newsletter is to bring readers collaborative information AND provide action items to reduce the incidence of abuse and support those in recovery as well as share resources. You will find positive as well as truthful information about the issues.

In the past two years, we've discovered organizations, companies, survivors, advocates who offer advice, resources and information that compliment one another, yet are not aware of each other.

There is something here for everyone in our target audience:

  • Victims/Survivors who need to know and share what resources are available to them and useful information about rebuilding thier lives.
  • Nonprofits, advocates and professionals who want to network and share thier knowledge.
  • Businesses to spotlight what they are doing to support the cause as well as provide products for our readers.
  • Community members, volunteers, and donors who choose to learn more about the many aspects of abuse and how they can make a difference.

Just like the Bravery Project portraits contain individuals from all walks of life to paint are more wholistic picture about abuse for awareness, our newsletter will offer information from many aspects of the community to help network and bring elements of recovery together, like spokes on a wheel.

A victim is told over and over to leave, now that she has left, what next?  As a prisoner in her home, she may not have job skills, education, knowledge about resources, let alone any confidence.  This is where YOU, the community, come to share your resources and advice to provide survivors a place to learn what a law means, financial resources, medical advice.

Each edition will include the following below. Make sure to sign up for the newsletter to receive all the information in January. Together we are the cure.
